Busy Ian

Beach weekend

Last weekend, we took a spontaneous trip to Flagler beach. We had never been there before and really enjoyed it. Ian is talking so much over the past month, and it was really fun on this trip to see what he has to say about everything. He has at least 30-50 words in his vocabulary now, but some things he still likes to sign. For example, anytime we saw anyone with a hat on, he pats the top of his head, which is his symbol for hat, and he won't say the word. He also loves to look at himself in the mirror and calls himself baby and kisses the mirror and dances and talks to himself. We already knew this, but he is quite the dare devil, and at the beach,he loves to sit at the shoreline and let waves come in and virtually knock him over and then grins and laughs and wants to do it again. We ran into Manny, David, and Noa and had fun playing in the sand and enjoying the morning sun. Here's a few pictures from our trip.

LAKE WAUBURG

Today we went to church and Ian was sooooo good there durng the service! We could hardly believe that he sat there for an hour just "reading" his books. After that we got some lunch and went to Lake Wauburg. Here are some pictures from our fun day.

Fort Pierce

We went to Fort Pierce last weekend for Aunt Janet's 75th birthday party and to see Aunt Amy, Gabby, Blake, Great grandparents, and Ron and Cindy...and of course Gaga, Bruce, Lynner, Kenny, Molly, and little Nicholas. We saw a lot of family and friends at Aunt Janet's that we haven't seen in a long time. We got to go to the beach, kayaking, and play with the slip-and-slide outside. Lots of summer fun! Here's a few pictures. Note the one of Ian screaming-he is not sad-he is mad that mommy wanted him to hold still for a picture when he wanted to throw a shrimp in the water to the fish. Oh boy are we in trouble with that temper-ha ha!

Daycation

We took a little day trip to Cedar Key today. It ended up being really nice weather and we had a relaxing and fun day together.

Summer fun
